When you enquire: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, and the content of your message.
When you book (usually via WhatsApp or email): the details needed to register you for the trip: full name, passport number, nationality, meal or dietary preference, and equipment sizing (for example snorkelling fin size).
When you use our website: standard usage data through cookies and analytics, such as pages viewed and device type.
Where a meal or dietary preference reveals an allergy or a religious requirement, we use it only to prepare your meals and run the trip safely.
To arrange and deliver your booking, which is our contract with you.
To complete mandatory passenger registration. Your booking details are required to register you at the KP3 port office in Labuan Bajo as your boarding clearance, and with Komodo National Park. For routes beyond Komodo, the same applies to the relevant harbour master and port or park authorities. This registration is a legal requirement for the trip to proceed.
To communicate with you before, during, and after your trip.
After your trip, to send a thank-you message and invite you to leave a Google review.
To understand how our website is used and, where enabled, to run advertising.
The boat operator running your vessel. As a curated marketplace, we coordinate independent operators, and your manifest details are shared with the operator of your chosen boat to deliver the trip.
Government and port authorities (the KP3 port office, Komodo National Park, and the harbour master), as legally required for clearance and park entry. Once submitted to an authority, this data is handled under that authority's own rules and cannot be recalled by us.
Analytics and advertising providers (such as Google and Meta) for website usage data, where those tools are enabled.
We do not sell your personal data.
We are based in and process your data in Indonesia. If you contact or book from the EU, the UK, or elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in Indonesia in order to deliver your trip and meet Indonesian legal requirements.
We keep booking and manifest records for as long as needed to deliver your trip and to meet legal, tax, and safety obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for a reasonable period and then removed.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent (for example, to marketing) at any time, using the contact details below.
Please note that passenger data already submitted to government authorities for clearance cannot be withdrawn from them, because its submission is a legal condition of sailing.
For guests in the EU and the UK, we handle these rights in line with the GDPR and UK GDPR.
